Terms of use

Last updated: 11 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Slovenim, a free website for learning Slovenian. By creating an account, you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy, which explains how we handle your data.

Who we are

Slovenim is run by an individual developer under the name Slovenim, which is not a registered company. You can reach us by email at slovenim@gmail.com.

The service

Slovenim offers a structured Slovenian course with lessons, exercises, quizzes, flashcards and progress tracking. The course is free. The speaking tutor is an optional paid subscription (see below). We may add, change or remove features and content over time.

Fair use

When using Slovenim, please don't:

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Course content

The lessons, dialogues, exercises, explanations and audio on Slovenim are original works created for the site. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, republish, sell or redistribute them without our permission.

We work hard to make the course accurate, but it may contain mistakes. Slovenim is a learning aid. It doesn't guarantee any particular result, such as passing a language exam, and it isn't an official qualification.

Availability and liability

Slovenim is provided free of charge, "as is". We try to keep it running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may pause or end the service. If we plan to close the service, we'll give you notice on the site so you can download your data.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for loss of learning progress. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For important changes, we'll tell you on the site before they take effect. If you keep using Slovenim after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia.
